Metro Bulldogges Welcomes You!

When I was first introduced to the Olde English Bulldogge breed years ago, I was fascinated with the possibility of owning and raising truly healthy bulldogs. I, like so many others, have always loved the English Bulldog, but was deterred from that breed due to all of the health issues . Therefore, my discovery of the Olde English Bulldogge was a dream come true.  I jumped in without any hesitation and I spent the next couple of years learning all that I could about my beloved Olde English Bulldogges. However,  I am saddened to say  that the one aspect of this breed (health) that initially attracted me to the breed seemed to be a falsified claim.  Evaluation of my breeding program revealed that I was a long way from this healthy, capable bulldog of my dreams.  My breeding program came to a halt while I reevaluated the breed, redirected my efforts and restructured my breeding program. I began talking to other breeders that seemed just as concerned about such issues as myself  and I came to the conclusion that I was going to do everything I could to perpetuate my dream of a healthy, capable bulldog into a reality. Although no dog is perfect, I am doing all that I can to help ensure that I am not breeding any of the health issues into the Olde English Bulldogge that currently plague the modern day English Bulldog . I work very closely with my veterinarian in regards to my breeding program. All of my dogs are currently or are in the process of being hip and elbow x-rayed and DNA tested. This is not a "cure all" but it is a step in the right direction for improving the Olde English Bulldogge breed.

Temperament is also an extremely important aspect of the Olde English Bulldogge breed.  I prefer a bulldogge that is confident and even-tempered and will continuously breed for such characteristics in my program. My bulldogges are bred to be family companions, and are not bred to be "guard dogs".  If you are interested in a guard type bully please contact me and I can recommend some breeders that breed toward that type of bulldog. One must always remember that the Olde English Bulldogge is a bulldog breed and, as the name implies, this breed can be very bull-headed and are known to have great focusing power. That is why we highly recommend obedience training from the very start.

Unlike the English Bulldog, Olde English Bulldogges are athletic, free breathing and free whelping. They are intelligent and always eager to please. They are gentle, yet very courageous, loyal and willing to love you with their entire heart. To learn more about the Olde English Bulldogge please visit our OEB vs EB page.

We only produce 2-3 litters per year so that we can devote more time and attention to each litter that we produce. All of our dogges live in our home and are surrounded by love and affection. Our puppies are always born in the comfort of our home ensuring that they are not exposed to the outdoor elements.  This environment provides wonderful conditions for health, nourishment, growth, and safety. Our puppies are interacted with by the whole family on a daily basis. They are very well socialized by the time they arrive at their new home.

All of our bulldogges are always current on all vaccinations and have regular check-ups for any underlying health conditions. Please feel free to contact our Vet for a refference:
